Matt Steiger
Matt is passionate about helping clients gain clarity, trust, and confidence in their financial future so that they feel stable and comfortable as life evolves. His primary goal is to provide wealth management, risk management, and investment solutions that help clients achieve their objectives.
Prior to joining Dakota, Matt spent 15 years in several roles at Columbia Threadneedle Asset Management, most recently as a Vice President, leading the fixed income product management team. He also held roles in the performance analytics group and the fixed income investment department. He began his career in the financial services industry in 2008 at LaCrosse Global Asset Management.
Matt grew up in Nisswa, MN and currently lives in Mahtomedi with his wife, Carrie, and their two daughters, Hazel and Stella. He enjoys spending time with his family on the lake, bike riding, snow sledding, and skiing. Outside of family time, Matt likes trail running, a good carpentry project, and an occasional concert. He also volunteers for habitat for humanity and enjoys coaching with the Little Zephyrs soccer program.
